Experience with Septic Systems

Began working in the field at the age of 13, assisting his father during the launch of his residential septic system business.

From 2016 to 2020, worked full-time as a trainee assistant under the direct supervision of his father, an entrepreneur with over 38 years of experience in the field.

Received comprehensive hands-on training, including visual inspection, analysis of septic tanks and leaching beds, plan interpretation and evaluation, overall system operation, its components, and the environmental condition in which it is installed.

Gained in-depth knowledge of systems installed both before and after the implementation of current regulatory standards Including pre-1980 installations.

Developed applied expertise in accordance with the Ontario Building Code – Part 8 (Septic Systems), with special attention to safety, long-term performance, and real-world operational effectiveness.

Provides customers with clear and easy to understand explanations of the systems, while explaining the potential risks in layman's terms. Our duty is to put forward preventive and personalized recommendations.

A flow test is carried out to verify system performance and evaluate overall functionality and efficiency. This includes digging the field bed to expose the septic pipes, and observing how the water level reacts to assess permeability and verify the overall health of the system.
The day of the visit
On the day of the visit, we carry out a visual check of the septic tank to assess its operational level.
We identify any visible damage or missing components. We also assess whether modern updates, such as installing a filter or risers for easier access, and possibly give advice to improve the system's performance and durability.
The immediate environment is also visually assessed for any problematic signs such as tree roots, surface seepage or visible leaks.
Our inspections are visual and non-invasive. We offer a verbal assessment of the system's condition. This assessment is not legally binding and is intended for informational purposes when buying or selling a property.
